Second-team selections DeCarlo Prince of St. Vincent-St. Mary, John Johnson of Archbishop Hoban and Chad Rusinko of Tallmadge highlight the local honorees on the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association’s 2026 All-Ohio girls high school basketball teams.
The All-Ohio teams for Divisions IV, V, VI and VII were released Wednesday, March 25.
The All-Ohio teams for Divisions I, II and III were released Thursday, March 26.
Prince, Johnson and Rusinko are all second team in Division III.
Johnson, a junior, led Hoban to the Division III state semifinals after winning district and regional championships. He finished the season averaging 16.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.4 steals.
Prince surpassed 1,000 career points and averaged 17.0 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.0 as a senior for STVM.
Rusinko averaged 25.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.2 assists as a junior for Tallmadge. Rusinko shot 49.7% from the field, including 56.9% on 2-point field goal attempts.
Rusinko scored a single-season school record 615 points this season, has 892 career points and was Suburban League American Conference Co-Player of the Year with Highland senior Joshua Butcher.
Ellet junior Dante Kimble III (18.4 points per game) and CVCA senior Connor Gray (13.4 ppg) received special mention recognition in Division III.
The honorable mention list in Division III includes Nordonia senior Jason Janosek (17.4 ppg), Copley senior Andrew McKnight (14.6 ppg), Cuyahoga Falls senior Hayden Johnson (15.7 ppg), STVM senior Leigh Cotton (12.0 ppg), Hoban junior Arri Caporaletti (10.3 ppg), Garfield senior Terion Chapman (11.3 ppg) and CVCA senior Tyler Hysolli (12.0 ppg).
Kimble was named the Akron City Series Player of the Year and Chapman helped lead Garfield to the City Series regular-season and postseason titles.
Gray and Hysolli helped guide CVCA to a Division III district championship and a North Coast Conference title.
In Division II, Hudson senior Nathan Judy earned third-team honors after averaging 16.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists. Judy shot 44% from beyond the 3-point arc.
Highland senior Joshua Butcher (17.9 ppg) received special mention in Division II.
The honorable mention list in Division II includes Twinsburg senior Cameron Suggs (17.3 ppg), Walsh Jesuit senior Anthony Spain (15.8 ppg), Stow senior Eddie Norman (13.1 ppg), Hudson senior Jayden Carlton (14.2 ppg) and Barberton sophomore Vernon Reynolds (16.6 ppg).
Metro Athletic Conference champion Norton and Woodridge each had two players earn All-Ohio honors in Division IV.
Norton junior Trey Kersten (16.1 ppg) and Woodridge senior Branden Evans (14.3 ppg, 1,000-plus career points) received special mention recognition.
The honorable mention list in Division IV includes Norton freshman Mason Ventura (14.8 ppg) and Woodridge sophomore Carter Maxa (14.5 ppg).
Manchester seniors Tyler Pappas and Josiah Morgan were selected to the All-Ohio team in Division V, with Pappas (15.1 ppg) getting a third-team nod and Morgan (10.1 ppg) being an honorable mention.
Pappas also averaged 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals a game. He finished his high school career with 1,026 points after the Panthers won the PAC-7 championship.
Mogadore senior Jordon Smith (15.0 ppg) was an honorable mention in Division VI.
