Background: “Educated at Boston University, I am a nationally board certified Ohio OTPTAT, Board and Ohio Department of Education-licensed occupational therapist (NBCOT OTR/L) specializing in pediatrics for more than 35 years. I currently serve as Reynoldsburg Board of Education president. I have served on the board of education since being appointed in November 2019 and elected in 2021. I have lived in Reynoldsburg since 1999. My husband, Doug McCollough, and I are the proud parents of four adult children.”
Why are you the best candidate? “As a longtime resident and public servant leader of Reynoldsburg, I am deeply rooted and involved, serving on a number of local boards that support the community.
“I understand the needs of Reynoldsburg, and have sought to address some of them as an individual, such as my sponsorship of an annual community baby shower, and Harriet Tubman Day.
“I can serve even more people in my community better through intentional work as a councilmember, by sponsoring legislation that will benefit our constituents for their best daily quality of life experience, promoting public safety, green spaces, recreation, economy and development. Strong families make strong communities, and I’m capable of building a healthier, stronger and more connected Reynoldsburg where every resident has the opportunity to grow, connect and live well every day.
“I am currently endorsed by the FOP, AFL-CIO, Franklin and Licking County Democratic Parties, The Ohio Young Dems, The Franklin County Young Black Dems and the Ohio Environmental Council. I have sought additional endorsements that are yet to be decided and published. I am also supported by the Baptist Ministerial Alliance. This illustrates why I am the best candidate for Reynoldsburg City Council.”
