WASHINGTON − Cincinnati Reds history was made with one clap of Eugenio Suárez’s bat.
In the second inning at Nationals Park, Suárez pounded a 422-foot solo home run off Washington Nationals starter Cade Cavalli. It was the 204th Reds home run of Suárez’s Reds career, moving him into standalone 10th place on the team’s career home run list after he had been tied with prolific slugger Eric Davis at 203.
Now in his second stint with the Reds, the homer was also No. 15 of 2026 for Suárez, who signed a one-year contract to return to Cincinnati last offseason.
Suárez could potentially pass a giant on Cincinnati’s all-time homer list as Ken Griffey Jr. sits in ninth place on the all-time list with 210 homers during the Reds portion of his career.
