A 15-year-old is fighting for his life in the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle over the weekend, according to a Colerain Township spokesperson.
Around 1 a.m. Oct 5, Colerain police were called to the area of Colerain Road and Day Road for a reported accident, township communications specialist Helen Tracey-Noren wrote in a press release.

Officers arrived at the scene to find the teen unconscious, but breathing.
The teen appeared to be riding a bike when he was hit by a vehicle, according to the township spokesperson.
That teen is 15-year-old Moeller High School sophomore Dylan Straughn, his family confirmed.
Mike Robinson, a firefighter with nearly 30 years of experience, lives on Colerain Road, near where Straughn was hit.
He says an absence of streetlights, sidewalks and excessive speeding all pose risks to bikers and pedestrians on Colerain Road.
“I think this street is so dangerous,” Robinson said. “I’ve approached the township several times about a stop sign or something, speed bumps. This is a location worthy of a speedbump, especially the way cars come in.”
Colerain Township Department of Fire and EMS took the 15-year-old to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he remains, according to Tracey-Noren.
The township spokesperson said the teen has life-threatening injuries.
Around 10 p.m. Sunday, almost 24 hours after the teen was hit, the vehicle that crashed into him was found, Tracey-Noren said.
The driver of the vehicle has been identified, but the township spokesperson did not release their name.
No other information was released.
“We are conducting a thorough investigation into all factors that may have contributed to this awful incident,” Tracey-Noren said. “Our prayers are with the family during this extremely difficult time.
Call Colerain police at 513-321-2677 if you have any information.
Moeller High School is offering prayers and support for the sophomore and his family.
Archbishop Moeller High School posted on Facebook that Straughn is “in dire need of our prayers.”
The high school’s facebook Moeller High School page said Straughn “was critically injured in an accident.”
A GoFundMe has been created to help Straughn and his family.
