CANTON ‒ City firefighters responded the afternoon of Aug. 9 to a blaze in the 2500 block of Kirby Avenue NE that significantly damaged a home, the Canton Fire Department said.
In a Facebook post at 2:20 p.m., the department said no one reported any injuries. The department is still trying to determine what caused the fire.
A Canton Fire battalion chief could not immediately be reached for more details.
Pictures posted by the department showed extensive damage to the house around its front porch area after firefighters had extinguished the fire.
