Top employers for new graduates in New York: Forbes' 2025 rankings revealed

Now that the 2025 college graduation season has come and gone, it’s time for recent graduates to enter the workforce. Almost 40 New York-based companies are being recognized as some of the best for new grads in 2025, according to a recently released ranking by Forbes.

The business magazine partnered with market research firm Statista to put together the list of 500 organizations after surveying more than 100,000 young professionals with less than 10 years of work experience working for U.S. companies with at least 1,000 people.

Employees were asked whether they would recommend their current employer, previous employers and organizations they knew within the industry through friends or family who worked there to others and to rate it in areas like wages, benefits, advancement opportunities, working conditions, flexibility, company image and inclusion. The collected data and survey data from the past three years was then put into a scoring system. Greater weight was given to the more recent data and the responses from current employees.

“Given that these Gen Z workers are projected to comprise 30% of the United States workforce by 2030, savvy companies and organizations would be wise to pay attention to what this generation wants from work,” the study states.
