New York Rep. Mike Lawler is one of four House members from battleground districts set to answer questions from CNN moderators and a studio audience in a live discussion to be shown on CNN on Thursday, April 10.
The 9 p.m. “town hall” will be moderated by anchors Jake Tapper and Kaitlin Collins and will feature Lawler, a second-term Republican from Rockland County; Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, a Pennsylvania Republican; Rep. Jahana Hayes, a Connecticut Democrat; and Rep. Derek Tran, a California Democrat.

The audience will consist of a mixture of Democratic, Republican and independent voters, and will include residents from each of the four members’ districts, according to CNN. Topics to be raised include the economy, the second Trump administration and “the state of the Democratic Party.”
The talk comes as Democratic groups have pressed Lawler to face constituents in his lower Hudson Valley district — New York’s 17th — to answer questions about Trump administration actions and GOP budget-cutting plans. He hasn’t held a public forum yet this year, but has promised four upcoming town halls throughout the four-county district, starting this month. He held a “tele-town hall” last month.
