Section 3 girls soccer: Remsen defeats Westmoreland 3-2

The Remsen Rams girls varsity soccer team came from behind to win a tough battle against the Westmoreland Bulldogs, with Westmoreland leading at halftime by a score of 2-1. Westmoreland’s Isabella Smith and Katelyn Brown both scored, while Remsen’s Emily Shufelt scored twice, along with a goal from Tiarra Fox.
Section 3 football: General Brown defeats Holland Patent 70-0
The General Brown Lions were dominant in their 70-0 win against the Holland Patent Golden Knights in varsity football.
Section 3 football: Whitesboro defeats Auburn 43-20
Mike Hill and Connor McDonald continued their link-up as Whitesboro defeated the Auburn Maroons in varsity football on Thursday night.
Section 3 boys soccer: New Hartford defeats Proctor 2-1
The New Hartford Spartans and Proctor Raiders matchup is one of my favorite boys varsity soccer games in the area. The Spartans decided the tone early, with two first half goals by Soren Stevenson and Sandi Muric, while the Raiders lone goal was scored in the second half by Ajdin Mujic.
Vigil held for conservative activist Charlie Kirk after shooting death in Utah
Local community members came together for a candlelight vigil, honoring the life of Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist who was fatally shot while speaking in Utah on September 10th.
