The Brooklyn Nets (0-4) are having a rough start to the 2025-26 NBA season as they can’t seem to get out of their own way when it comes to their offensive and defensive performances. Brooklyn is still looking for its first win of the season against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks (1-3) and if you’re wondering how you can watch all the action live, you’ve come to the right place!
The Nets come into this game following a 137-109 loss at Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets on Monday in which Brooklyn fell behind by as many as 33 points in the contest as everything seemed to go wrong. Forward Terance Mann had his best game of the season to the tune of 21 points and six rebounds while forward Michael Porter Jr. had 18 points and four rebounds.
The Hawks enter this contest after a 128-123 loss at the Chicago Bulls on Monday where Atlanta had three players score at least 21 points, with center Kristaps Porzingis leading the way with his 27 points and two rebounds. Forward Jalen Johnson did his part as he dropped 25 points, six rebounds, and three steals while Trae Young put up 21 points and 17 assists while struggling to a 7-of-22 shooting performance from the field.

Advice and Prediction
The Nets have begun this season on the wrong foot as their defense hasn’t been able to limit any of their opponents, let alone stop them for any considerable length of time within a game. YES Network noted after Monday’s loss to the Houston Rockets that Brooklyn has given up 522 points in its first four games, the most in franchise history.
The Hawks revamped their roster with the additions of Kristaps Porzingis and Nickeil Alexander-Walker, but those changes haven’t led to many wins on their ledger to begin the season. Trae Young and Jalen Johnson will be the players that Atlanta will be counting on to lead the team to the playoffs and beyond, but so far, it hasn’t been so good.
The Nets are ranked towards the middle of the NBA in terms of offensive rating while the Hawks rank towards the bottom of the league in the category. Both Brooklyn and Atlanta place towards the bottom of the Association in defensive rating and at the same time, the Nets play at one of the slowest paces in the league compared to the Hawks towards the middle in that category.
Prediction: Hawks 125, Nets 120
