The annual Kids Day Carnival will be held Friday, Aug. 14 at the Corning Civic Center Rink, located next to Corning City Hall.
Alex Hamilton, Corning City Recreation Director, said the free event, which runs from 1-3 p.m., is geared toward community youth ages 12 and under.
City staff will be running a variety of carnival type games with prizes, hosting contests, and giving away snow cones, Hamilton said.
A dunk tank and bounce house will also be a part of this annual celebration of the end of the Parks and Recreation Department’s summer programing.
A free lunch for community youth ages 18 and under will also be provided in partnership with the Corning Painted Post School District’s Summer Nutrition Program. Free lunch will be provided at 1 p.m. and the carnival runs from 1-3 p.m.
