Iowa women’s basketball extended an offer to 2028 point guard Love Lei Best.
The 5-foot-6 Oregon native stars for Tualatin High School and the Maurice Lucas Lady Enforcers club program. ESPN ranks Best as the nation’s No. 32 overall prospect in its 2028 SportsCenter NEXT – Super 60 rankings. Best is the No. 35 player nationally and the top player in Oregon per Prep Girls Hoops’ 2028 rankings.
Best was named the 2025-26 Gatorade Oregon Girls Basketball Player of the Year. At the time of her selection, Best averaged 14.9 points, 5.1 assists and 3.9 steals per game. Best was the MVP of the 2025 State Championship Game and a First Team All-State selection as a freshman.
Iowa joins offers from programs such as Ohio State, Michigan, Baylor, Illinois, Louisville and Alabama.
