The following corrections and clarifications have been published on stories produced by the Iowa City Press-Citizen newsroom:

July 2026

News: A July 29 story incorrectly stated that the University of Iowa’s Center for Intellectual Freedom would not hold classes until the fall of 2028. The center has paused classes until the advisory council hires a permanent executive director. There will be no classes when the new academic year starts on Aug. 24.

January 2025

News: A Jan. 10 article reported David Stein and Aaron Jennings as the current owners of the Sanctuary Pub. Stein and Jennings did own the business from 2017 to 2019 but are no longer involved in the operation.

News: A Jan. 11 article incorrectly mentioned a proposed change to the Iowa City charter. The initial article said that the commission recommended a change to the appointment process of new police and fire chiefs, delegating that power to the city manager. The city manager currently selects the new police and fire chiefs.

July 2025

News: A July 28 article wrongly identified the location of a roundabout in the Forevergreen Road extension project. The original article said the fourth phase will take place near Jasper Avenue NW and implied that it was part of a cost-sharing agreement between Coralville and North Liberty. The Jasper Avenue NW roundabout is part of a separate project that is being led by North Liberty and financially assisted by Tiffin.

October 2025

News: An Oct. 2 article misspelled Maureena Prakash’s first name.
