4-star Iowa basketball recruiting target sets commitment date

One of the most skilled shot makers in the class of 2026 and prized Iowa basketball recruit, Quentin Coleman, has revealed when and where he will announce his college choice.

A 6-foot-3, 170-pound shooting guard out of St. Louis, Mo., Coleman ranks as the 78th player nationally, as the No. 19 shooting guard and as the fourth-ranked player from the Show-Me State according to Rivals.

A product of the The Principia School, Coleman will be choosing between Iowa, Saint Louis, Texas Tech, and Wake Forest as potential destinations. Iowa hosted Coleman for an official visit back on Sept. 26.

Coleman will announce his college decision this coming Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 3:30 p.m. CT on the CBS Sports college basketball YouTube channel.

Coleman helped lead the Principia Panthers to a 30-1 record last season and a state championship, where he averaged 19.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.4 steals per game while shooting 57.5% from the field and a scorching 45.4% from behind the arc.

Coleman can light it up on the offensive side of the ball and is a solid defender as well, which would be a perfect fit for what Hawkeyes head coach Ben McCollum is trying to build in Iowa City.

A member of the Brad Beal Elite grassroots program, Coleman was a significant contributor during the team’s run to a title at Nike’s summer-ending Peach Jam by averaging nearly 14 points per game while making 40% of his attempts from beyond the 3-point line and recording an impressive assist-to-turnover ratio of over 3.2-to-1.
