Early in the transfer portal window for college basketball was not kind to Notre Dame, but on Saturday it got great news that a young rising-star will be returning to South Bend.
Forward Brady Koehler entered the program with big expectations this season, after being named as the No. 92 overall prospect in the 2025 class by the 247Sports Composite. He’d have a solid freshman season, averaging 5.6 points-per-game and 3.2 rebounds while shooting 45.2% from the field.

Koehler came on at the end of the year, registering double-digit scoring outings in three of his last four games. You could see the talent was there, and the game slowing down for him as the season progressed. On Saturday afternoon, the Irish announced that he’d be returning for his second-season, as big boost for the program.
If Koehler can continue his ascension, he’ll be a major piece for Notre Dame’s upcoming season. His experience and size will be a major boost for the Irish.
