Indiana loses Little League Softball World Series championship game to Pennsylvania

Floyds Knobs, Indiana, loses the Little League Softball World Series championship game 1-0 Sunday to a team from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, in Greenville, North Carolina. It was the first time Indiana reached the championship game.

Pennsylvania scored in the fourth winning when Reagan Bills’ single brought in Sadie Divido.

Indiana had two scoring chances. Sawyer Abel tripled to start the fourth inning, but she was ruled out of the batter’s box upon making contact. Indiana loaded the bases in the fifth but couldn’t get anyone across the plate.

Indiana lost its World Series opener before reeling off four straight shutout wins to reach the title game.
