The 2026 Indiana high school girls golf season will feature new faces on the green. Here are the IndyStar’s top freshman players to watch.
Players are listed in alphabetical order by last name. This list was compiled with input from local coaches.
Nola Beasley, Plainfield
Beasley competed extremely well during tryouts, according to coach Olivia Plotnik. Beasley will join a Plainfield team that placed third at the Brownsburg sectional last season.
Payton Henney, Zionsville
Henney is a member of the Zionsville girls golf program that won two state titles in a row. She shot a 91 and helped the Eagles’ junior varsity team win the Plainfield Varsity Invitational on Aug. 3.
Riley Kremer, Fishers
Kremer helped lead the Tigers at the HSE golf invitational on Aug. 4. She tied with senior teammate Elli Webster with an 88. She shot a 43 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine at Stony Creek Golf Course. The team posted a team score of 386.
Laila Leaman, Brownsburg
Leaman helped the Bulldogs place third as a team at the 2026 Booster Club Girls Golf Invitational on Aug. 4. She shot an 81, shooting a 40 in the front nine and a 41 in the back nine.
Qianyu Liu, Carmel
Liu joined a Carmel team that won a sectional team title, placed second at regionals and placed fourth as a team at the state meet last season. In July, she placed second in the 13-15 girls category of the Indiana Golf Tour. She shot a 14-over-par 85 with a 42 in the front nine and a 43 in the back nine.
Adalyn Malicoat, Noblesville
Malicoat is one of nine freshmen representing the Millers this season. She placed first in the 13-15 girls category of the Indiana Junior Golf tour in July. She posted a 9-over-par 80, shooting 41 on the front nine and 39 on the back nine. She expected to contribute to a Noblesville team that placed second as a team at last season’s state meet.
