Volksfest
Aug. 13, 14 and 15 at Germania Maennerchor, 916 N. Fulton Ave.
The tapping of the ceremonial keg and opening day events will start at 6 p.m. Thursday. Food includes kraut balls, brats, pig knuckles, German bologna and more. There will be 10 German beers and domestic options, as well as wine slushies. Cash and credit cards accepted. Live music performances are set for each night, inside and outside.
A $7 cash or $8 credit card cover charge starts for those 21 and older after 3 p.m. Attendees under 21 are allowed until 8 p.m. on Thursday and 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Concerts on the Lawn
Aug. 15, 6 to 8 p.m. at Central Library greenspace. Free.
Central Library will host the next EVPL Concerts on the Lawn performances. Nina Snoogans and Macro Geo will perform.
CMOE Back to School Bash
Aug. 15, 4 to 8 p.m. at Children’s Museum of Evansville. Free for members, $20 for nonmembers.
CMOE will host a back-to-school event Saturday with the Evansville Music Academy. There will be live music and activities. There will also be nonprofits, art organizations and other business there for families to get to know. Food trucks will also be present.
