EVANSVILLE — For 50 years, car enthusiasts have been gathering in Evansville to talk street rods, and that won’t change this August.
This year’s Frog Follies is set for Aug. 22-24 at the Vanderburgh County 4-H Grounds. It will be a gathering of gearheads, with its historic focus on pre-1949 street rods.

There will also be some special anniversary events for spectators and rodders alike.
Here’s what to know.
When is Frog Follies?
Frog Follies will start Friday and run through Sunday.
What time is the Frog Follies?
The event is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. The awards ceremony is at 1 p.m. Sunday.
How much does it cost to attend?
Admission is $10 per person, per visit. Children under 12 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the gate.
What is parking like at the fair grounds?
Attendees should enter at Gate 1 off of Old Boonville Highway or Gate 3 off of Old State Road. From there, parking crews will help director vehicles to park.
What are some of the 50th anniversary events?
Attendees will have the chance to meet Joe and Amanda Martin, stars of Motor Trend’s Iron Resurrection and Martin Bros. Customs, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Bob Chester of Spirit Industries will be building a 1923 T-Bucket Street Rod from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
