EVANSVILLE — Applications are now open for people interested in serving on the Vanderburgh County Data Center Research Committee.
Applications will be accepted through 4 p.m. Aug. 20
The committee will work on researching and evaluating the impact of data centers in the county. The findings will be presented to the county commissioners and area plan commission.
What sort of applicants does the county want?
According to a news release, the county wants applicants with a variety of backgrounds. These areas are listed as particularly valuable:
While these areas are highlighted, the county has stated they also wish to hear from residents who can offer community perspective. Professional expertise is encouraged, but not required.
How can you apply?
The application is available online at evansvillegov.org. From there, interested individuals can click on boards and commissions and click the apply button.
Fill out the application, selecting “Data Center Research Committee” from the dropdown menu asking which board the applicant is interested in.
There are areas to upload a resume with qualifications, expertise and areas on the committee the applicant could contribute.
