Thousands of protesters showed up at the “No Kings” rally in Cocoa on Saturday, March 28, to voice opposition to the Trump administration’s actions both domestically and abroad.
“No Kings” protesters gathered around the country to take part in the third such coordinated demonstration against President Donald Trump’s policies since he took office for his second term. More than 3,000 events were organized across the nation.

The Brevard protest, which started at noon, brought more than 3,000 people to the intersection of U.S. 1 and King Street (State Road 520). Demonstrators lining the sidewalks waved signs, handed out water and chanted against the Trump administration. Many passersby honked in support while others revved their engines or shouted disapproval.
Michael Kniatt, one of the organizers behind Saturday’s event, said continuous “outrages” committed by Trump serve as fresh motivation for protesters to hit the streets.
“Horrible things have gone down since last October. It’s hard to describe. There’s always something new,” Kniatt said.
“It just energizes everyone even more. The more he acts out, the more we respond.”
Corey Luering, a Brevard resident for the past seven years, said he showed up “because the administration continues to tear down democracy.”
According to Luering, hardcore Trump supporters won’t likely be moved by seeing a large gathering of demonstrators.
Those people, however, are not who he hopes to reach.
“Everyday Americans are not being served. The Republican Party is no longer the Republican Party. They’re the Trump party now,” Luering said.”I’m hoping the Democrats put together a platform that’s appealing to independents and moderate Republicans and we can make our voices heard in the midterms.”
