A South Daytona woman was killed Saturday, Sept. 20 and another driver was injured in a head-on collision on State Road 11 south of Cody’s Corner in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
State Road 11 was blocked for a period of time following the accident, the FHP stated.
The crash happened about 10:20 a.m. south of County Road 304 on State Road 11, near Bunnell, the FHP stated.
The 71-year-old South Daytona woman was driving an SUV northbound on State Road 11 while a 61-year-old St. Johns man was driving another SUV southbound, the FHP stated.
The 61-year-old man suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.
The woman was not wearing her seat belts while the man was, according to the FHP.
