Porsche Boxster driver dies in one-vehicle crash in Lake County

A 36-year-old Clermont man died in a vehicle crash early the morning of Aug. 9. According to a Florida Highway Patrol news release, here’s what we know:

About 2:12 a.m. Aug. 9 on Greater Hills Boulevard north of Charter Oaks Trail.

What happened?

According to the news release, the Clermont man was driving a 2007 Porsche Boxster north on Greater Hills Boulevard. For an unknown reason, the vehicle ran off the road, striking a curb and then two trees.

The vehicle overturned and landed on its roof. The driver was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
