A man suffered injuries after being shot late Friday night near the intersection of FAMU Way and Railroad Avenue, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.
The shooting was reported at approximately 11:04 p.m. and occurred along the roadway.
A TPD watch commander told the Tallahassee Democrat an adult male was struck by gunfire and transported for treatment. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting, and no suspect information was immediately available.
The incident remains under investigation.
This marks the 39th serious shooting in the capital city and county. So far in 2026, 11 people have died and 29 people have been injured in bouts of gun violence, according to a Tallahassee Democrat analysis of gun violence that tracks incidents involving injury, death or a clear risk of serious harm.
