The National Weather Service of Miami has released a heat advisory for the coastal portion of Palm Beach County to last until the evening.
According to the NWS, the advisory will start on July 31 at 11a.m. and end at 6 p.m.. The forecast says that high temperatures will sit around the low to mid 90s but the feels like temperature is anywhere around 105 to 110.
This trend will seemingly continue over the weekend with the possibility of more heat advisories.
“So today and tomorrow, the difference is that we have west to southwest (wind) flow, so that generally tends to make the east coast a lot warmer than the west coast,” said George Rizzuto, a meteorologist with the NWS Miami.
“So at least today and tomorrow we could kind of expect (warmer weather), we’ll have to see on Sunday into early next week because we do have easterly flow that’s expected to return, which does tend to cool off the coastal areas on the east side a little bit more,” he continued. “The high temperatures do look to be maybe two or three degrees lower…so we’ll go from like 94 to 95 to about 90 or 91.”
