McAlister’s Deli is set to open its first Pensacola restaurant at Blue Angel Plaza, located at 9496 W. Highway 98, soon, according to the McAlister’s Deli website.
Known for sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes and its “famous” tea, McAlister’s is looking to win the favor of Pensacola foodies soon.
Here’s what you need to know about the popular franchise that’s bringing fresh dining options to Pensacola’s west side.
What’s on the McAlister’s Deli menu?
McAlister’s offers a variety of fresh sandwiches, salads and their signature “spuds,” massive baked potatoes, as well as their famed 32-ounce sweet teas. The customizable teas are steeped from Rainforest Alliance Certified tea leaves and sweetened with pure cane sugar, according to McAlister’s website.
If you’re opting for one of the giant spuds, made from Idaho Russet potatoes, you can choose between a variety of signature flavors, including honey barbecue pork and buffalo chicken. However, you can find some timeless sandwich options as well, such as a French dip, Reuben, Cuban and the signature McAlister’s Club, which comes layered with roasted turkey, Black Forest ham, bacon, sharp cheddar, Swiss, spring mix, tomato, mayo and McAlister’s Honey Mustard on wheat bread.
How many McAlister’s Deli locations are there?
Since its inception in Mississippi in 1989, McAlister’s Deli has expanded to offer over 500 locations across 28 states. Prior to the Pensacola location, the closest McAlister’s locations were in Crestview, Niceville and Mobile, Alabama.
When will Pensacola’s McAlister’s Deli open?
While an official date has yet to be released for the Pensacola McAlister’s Deli, McAlister’s list the location as “coming soon” on the McAlister’s website. McAlister’s has also been registered under Apple and Google Maps.
