Lincoln's Chase Fuller, FSU commit, wins prestigious Jackie Robinson Award

Lincoln High School baseball standout Chase Fuller continues to add accolades to an already impressive resume as he emerges as one of the nation’s top MLB prospects.

Over the weekend, the Florida State commit was in Philadelphia for the Perfect Game All-American Classic. On Saturday, during the banquet, he received the 2026 Jackie Robinson Award.

The award recognizes elite amateur baseball players who excel both on the field and in their communities. Fuller joins a distinguished list of past recipients that includes Kayson Cunningham (2025), Bobby Witt Jr. (2018) and Bryce Harper (2009).

“It was an honor to win such a prestigious award, and the award being represented by Jackie Robinson was even better,” Fuller told the Tallahassee Democrat.

“I just want to thank God and my parents for the position they have put me in for all of my life, for even giving me a chance to win the award.”

The honor is the latest milestone in a busy offseason for Fuller, who has spent the summer competing against some of the nation’s best talent. Following Lincoln’s state championship season, Fuller played in multiple showcase events and summer competitions as a member of the USA Prime/Detroit Tigers National Scout Team.

Earlier this month, Fuller participated in the MLB All-American Game on Aug. 12 at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa, further solidifying his status among the nation’s elite high school players.

The 17-year-old shortstop and right-handed pitcher played a key role in Lincoln’s state title run during his junior season. He led the Trojans with 32 runs scored and posted a .514 on-base percentage. On the mound, Fuller recorded a career-high eight saves, including the final outs in Lincoln’s championship victory over Winter Springs.

Perfect Game ranks Fuller as the No. 3 overall player in the Class of 2027. He is also widely projected as a potential top-10 selection in the 2027 MLB Draft.

With a state championship, national recognition and growing professional interest, Fuller continues to strengthen his case as one of the premier prospects in high school baseball and one of the brightest stars to come through Lincoln’s program.
