Happy Thanksgiving!
The Jacksonville Jaguars took to the practice field on Thanksgiving earlier Thursday afternoon in preparation for their upcoming Week 13 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
Jacksonville entered this week with numerous players still recovering from injuries and others who picked up a couple of bumps and bruises over the last week.
In Week 12, the Jaguars were without several key players, including starting nickel defensive back Jourdan Lewis (neck), defensive end Travon Walker (knee), right tackle Anton Harrison (knee/ankle) and receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle).
Backup tight end Hunter Long and backup linebacker Yasir Abdullah also missed last week’s game due to injuries.
This week, the team hopes to get back at least a couple of those players. Lewis, Harrison and Long all practiced in full for the first time in weeks on Wednesday, though the practice was not physically demanding with the team working in baseball caps. Abdullah worked out limited.
New to the injury report this week were cornerback Christian Braswell (hamstring), linemen Chuma Edoga (calf) and Patrick Mekari (concussion), DE Danny Striggow (knee) and safety Antonio Johnson (elbow).
Here’s the team’s Thanksgiving edition Week 13 practice report.
