How long has Preston Hodge been with the Jaguars?
Hodge was signed by the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent (UDFA) following the 2026 NFL Draft.
Looking back at Preston Hodge’s 2025 college season
Hodge played his last two college seasons at Colorado and finished 2025 with 41 tackles, 14 passes defensed, one fumble recovery, and one interception. He earned an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention, and his 14 passes defensed in 2025 were tied for the second most in the country, according to the Jaguars team site.
The bulk of his career snaps have come from the slot, per to Pro Football Focus.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Preston Hodge
There will be an uphill battle for Hodge to claim a spot on the final 53-man roster, not only because he is a UDFA, but because there are already four roster locks at his position: Jarrian Jones, Jourdan Lewis, Montaric Brown, and his former Colorado teammate Travis Hunter.
However, Hodge has so far turned in impressive performances during offseason training, and there will be one or two roster spots available that he could take. If there is only a fifth roster spot, Hodge’s biggest competition will be Christian Braswell or Jabbar Muhammad — a standout performer this spring –, but if there are six — which is a very real possibility — then Hodge will have the opportunity to be in the mix, although he may have to showcase that he can play outside as well.
