The Jacksonville Jaguars announced the jersey numbers for their 2025 NFL draft class.
The emphasis in this year’s draft for the Jaguars was on building around Trevor Lawrence. Beyond the aggressive Day 1 trade that landed them Travis Hunter, the top wide receiver and cornerback prospect in this year’s draft, the Jaguars also selected two running backs and further bolstered the offensive line with two more selections.
The combination of Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr. will form a dynamic one-two punch at receiver, with each able player able to stress defenses in a variety of ways.
The running back position, both on the ground and in the passing game, plays an important role in Liam Coen’s offense, as we saw last season in Tampa Bay. And with that, consistent success for any offense starts with the play of the offensive line, which in Jacksonville, there is now a bevy of competition and versatility up front.
Ultimately, it will be Lawrence’s play that dictates the Jaguars’ ceiling, so of course, the prudent move is to make sure he has “balance,” as Liam Coen put it, around him.
