According to Tom Pelissero, Strange is signing a three-year extension worth up to $48 million and includes $25 million guaranteed.

In terms of potential total value, Strange is earning $16 million per year on the extension, which ranks as the fifth-most among tight ends, according to Spotrac.

By guaranteed money, Strange’s $25 million ranks 10th. In terms of total contract value at $48 million, Strange is now the eighth-highest-paid tight end.

However, Ari Meirov reported that Strange’s deal has a base value of $36 million with the other $12 million tied to incentives.

By that $36 million figure, Strange ranks tied for 12th in average annual value.

However, you look at it, given the do-it-all presence that Strange brings to the Jaguars offense, which opens up the playbook for Liam Coen and creates opportunities for others, we gave this extension a strong grade.
