Florida State baseball superstar Myles Bailey was stretchered off the field of the Seminoles game agaisnt Duke on Saturday, March 28, at Dick Howser Stadium.

Bailey’s right ankle appeared to be hurt as he slid into second base after a pickoff throw to first base went wild. He quickly pulled himself off the second base bag and signaled for help as his ankle was pointed away from his body.
Medical staff immediately brought a stretcher and a cast onto the field. Bailey’s right leg was secured in an air-cast before he was loaded onto the stretcher and taken to an ambulance and transported to a local hospital as an eerie silence muted the usually bustling Howser.
FSU head coach Link Jarrett was not available post-game, but a university spokesperson said a statement will be released when an update on Bailey is available.
Bailey was 2-for-3 with two RBI and three walks in the game. He hit his 13th home run of the season earlier in the game, and the play on which he was injured scored the go-ahead run from third base.
FSU leads Duke 12-11 in the top of the ninth. The game was paused after a medical emergency in the stands brought the game to a halt for almost half an hour.
Play resumed after the fan was taken out of the stadium on a stretcher. FSU clinched the series win as Gabe Nard earned a save in the top of the ninth to secure the 12-11 win.
