PANAMA CITY − Aug. 15 marks the last day to participate in early voting in the 2026 Primary Elections in Bay County.
According to the Bay County Supervisor of Election’s website, early voting in Bay County spans Aug. 8-15, with election day on Aug. 18. As of about 1 p.m. on Aug. 14, more than 7,900 early votes had been cast.
“Early voting provides a more convenient alternative to traditional Election Day voting,” the website reads. “Early voting allows you to cast your ballot in person as you would on election day, but at a time, day, or location that may be more convenient. Early voting sites may also be less busy than an election day polling location.”

What is the breakdown of voters?
Of the more than 7,900 votes cast during early voting, 1,361 were by Democrats, 6,188 by Republicans, 346 by voters not associated with either party, and 67 from voters categorized as “other.”
Additionally, more than 6,200 Bay County residents already have voted by mail. This includes 1,891 votes by Democrats, 3,598 votes by Republicans, 635 votes by non associated voter, and 94 votes under the other category.
What about local voters?
As of July 20, Bay County had 126,286 registered voters: 23,405 Democrats, 74,053 Republicans and 28,828 other.
What offices are up for election?
Besides primaries for state, regional and national office, the Bay County Supervisor of Elections’ website shows the following races will be on the primary ballot on Aug. 18. Because the local races are nonpartisan, the elections are open to all voters:
