Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Devin Lloyd’s 2025 campaign just keeps getting better and better.
Lloyd, named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September, had a 99-yard interception return to give the Jaguars the lead against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

Lloyd picked off a Patrick Mahomes pass at the goal line and ran it all the way back, evading a diving Mahomes before outracing the rest of the Chiefs on the way to the endzone.
It’s his fifth takeaway this season which matches the career-high he set his rookie season. The former first-round pick has recorded two tackles and a pass deflection so far in the contest in addition to the interception.
It’s the longest pick-six in franchise history, replacing Aaron Beasley’s 93-yard return on Sept. 12, 1999 against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Jaguars entered Monday’s game with a league-leading 13 takeaways and added to the total at a key moment. They are averaging three per contest and have been crucial to Jacksonville’s 3-1 start this season.
The Jaguars lead the Chiefs 21-14 in the fourth quarter.
