Editor’s Note: This article has been corrected to reflect this is not Brevard’s first ever Bojangles.
It’s “Bo Time.” Almost. The popular Southern chain Bojangles is currently under construction in Melbourne.
The beloved fried chicken chain offers an array of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, featuring rotating seasonal items. No one at Bojangles was available to confirm an opening date for the restaurant located at 5155 N. Wickham Road. That puts it near Home Depot, Sprouts Market, and EOS Fitness.
Our readers at 321 Flavor: Where Brevard Eats had plenty of exciting things to say about this new development:
“You’re not truly southern if you don’t love Bojangles,” wrote Janna Ridge.
Stacy Yates wrote, “Dirty rice, bo-berry biscuits, country ham and egg biscuits, etc. I love Bojangles!”
“Their hashbrowns (bo-rounds) are sooo yummy!” wrote Amber Dorton Covington.
What’s to expect
Most people who have been to a Bojangles talk about their biscuits. Made from scratch and available with eggs, chicken or sausage, the bo-berry biscuits are also a hit.
Feeling spicy? Try the cajun chicken filet or their seasoned fries with brewed ice tea and a side of dirty rice.
Bojangles typically operates from early morning until 10 p.m., though hours may vary by location. Breakfast is available all day, while lunch and dinner items are served starting at 10:30 a.m.
History of Bojangles
Founded in 1977 by Jack Fulk and Richard Thomas, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Bojangles is a restaurant chain that has more than 800 locations in 17 states.
This is not Brevard’s first location, but residents have not enjoyed Bojangles for more than a decade.
There are currently eight locations in Florida.
