The 4th annual Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser for Special Olympics Southern California will return to Texas Roadhouse Hesperia, with athletes and San Bernardino County Sheriff’s personnel serving tables.
All funds raised during the event from 4 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 14, will support Special Olympics athletes participating in sports training and competition, Special Olympics officials told the Daily Press.
During the nationwide event, sheriff’s officials and Special Olympic athletes will work as servers and hosts as they accept tips to benefit the athletic program.
Guests to the restaurant should mention to their server that they have arrived for the Special Olympics event, where 10% of their total bill (excluding alcohol) will be donated to the organization. Donations are tax-deductible, organizers said.
