An Oxnard man is scheduled to be sentenced in July after jurors found him guilty of rape and several other felony counts.
The charges involved multiple survivors and spanned eight years, according to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office. On June 9, jurors found Dustin Alba, 30, guilty of nine felony counts, including rape, sodomy and attempted rape.
He had pleaded not guilty to all nine counts.
Prosecutors said his crimes took place in Thousand Oaks, Oxnard and Los Angeles from 2012 to 2020. The survivors, many of whom met Alba through dating apps or social media, described dating or messaging with him before being forced into sexual acts, the prosecution said.
Alba faces 111 years to life in state prison, the DA’s office reported. He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 9.
