The High Desert is expected to see cooler temperatures, with dry and partly cloudy conditions to close out November.
Apple Valley, Barstow, Hesperia and Victorville should see highs in the mid-60s on Thanksgiving Day before increasing to the 70s on Friday, the National Weather Service reported.
Big Bear and Wrightwood should see high temperatures in the 50s, while much of the Inland Empire basks in the low 70s. High temperatures should drop into the 50s on Sunday and Monday, with a slight chance of rain.
Winter is coming
The first day of winter occurs on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, the date of this year’s winter solstice for the northern hemisphere.
During the winter solstice, the sun reaches its lowest point in the sky, marking the shortest day and longest night of the year for everyone living in the northern hemisphere, according to the National Weather Service.
