Phoenix Suns defensive stopper Dillon Brooks recently made a public appearance, joining streamer Neon for a live stream. During the stream, Brooks talked about many NBA topics, but one of his remarks caught Warriors fans off guard.
Neon asked Brooks what NBA player he would fight in a boxing match, and the Canadian native had a surprising answer, saying, “Jimmy Butler. It’s all about basketball for sure. But I feel like some things went too far. I always feel the animosity.”
Butler III has yet to respond or give any indication that he’d like to face Brooks in the ring. While Butler III is six years younger than Brooks, the tale of the tape between the two forwards is quite similar, as they are separated by one inch in height and five pounds in weight.
If Butler III were to enter the ring, he’d join a list of NBA players who’ve accepted boxing matches, including Deron Williams, Michael Carter-Williams and former Warriors guard Nate Robinson.
