By The St. Clair County Health Department
In accordance with the medical direction of Dr. Remington Nevin, Medical Director of the St. Clair County Health Department (SCCHD), the SCCHD Teen Health Clinic, located on the campus of Port Huron High School, has reopened today, Tuesday, February 17th, and has resumed normal operating hours.
The reopening follows the successful completion of a comprehensive quality assurance review initiated earlier this month. The review was conducted to ensure that all services provided by the Teen Health Clinic are in full adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and county policies.
Dr. Remington Nevin, SCCHD Medical Director, expressed full confidence in the clinic’s readiness to resume services. “After a thorough and successful quality assurance review, I am confident that the Teen Health Clinic is fully prepared to continue meeting the healthcare needs of St. Clair County youth while upholding the values and standards of our county.”
Liz King, Health Officer for SCCHD, added, “We appreciate the patience and understanding of students, parents, school officials, and community members during this review process. We remain committed to transparency, accountability, and ensuring that our programs reflect both best medical practices and community expectations.”
The long-term future of services at the Teen Health Clinic will be determined by the Advisory Board of Health and the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners.
