River Bash lands on the banks of the Black River

Event offers riverside dining, music, and more

PORT HURON, MI – Friends of the St. Clair River (Friends) is hosting their annual fundraiser “River Bash, a Benefit on the Banks of the Black River” to celebrate the Thumb Coast’s rivers, parks, and trails. The event is Thursday, April 11, from 5:30 – 7:00 at the Port Huron Yacht Club, 212 Quay Street, Port Huron. Doors open at 5:00 pm and the program begins at 6:00 pm. River Bash highlights the accomplishments of Friends programs, projects and partnerships over the past year. 

Sheri Faust, Executive Director, said “River Bash is a celebration-style event, held around Earth Day every year, that helps to strengthen everyone’s connection with nature and the Great Lakes. We can’t wait to celebrate this year’s River Bash ChangeMakers. These individuals are blazing unprecedented environmental trails across our watershed creating more education, stewardship and water improvement opportunities. We are excited to hear Gerrit, Nikki and Connie share their stories.” The event includes: • ChangeMakers inspiring stories
