Quarter Auction Fundraiser Returns to Port Sanilac on August 17 Hosted by Woman’s Life Insurance Society – Lexington Chapter 927

PORT SANILAC, MI (July 26th) — The Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum invites the public to a lively afternoon at the annual Quarter Auction Fundraiser on Sunday, August 17, 2025, beginning at 3:00 PM, under the Pavilion on the Museum grounds.

Hosted by Woman’s Life Insurance Society – Lexington Chapter 927, this unique event combines elements of a raffle and auction for an afternoon full of excitement, prizes, and community support. Woman’s Life Chapter 927 will generously match the first $500 raised.

Doors open at 2:15 PM for item viewing. Admission is $10 per person and includes one bidding paddle and light
refreshments. Additional paddles may be purchased for $5 each. Rolls of quarters will be available on site, or attendees may bring their own.

🔹 Current SCHS members will receive an extra paddle with paid admission.
🔹 Guests who purchase or renew their 2025 membership at the event will receive a bonus paddle as well.

Auction items will include gift cards, event tickets, handmade items, gift baskets, baked goods, and more, with bids
ranging from just 25¢ to $1. Guests participate by placing quarters in the jar and raising their paddle(s) for a chance to win. The more paddles in play, the better the odds.

A cash bar will be available, and light refreshments are included in admission.

🧺 Donations of auction items (valued at $50 or less) are welcomed and appreciated. Businesses and individuals wishing to contribute should contact schsbrittany@gmail.com. All donations are tax-deductible.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum and its ongoing mission to preserve and share the region’s rich history.
