Woman, 60, charged in Warren crash that killed her mother, 86

Mount Clemens — A 60-year-old Rochester woman is accused of driving recklessly and slamming her SUV into a Warren house, with the impact killing her 86-year-old mother, prosecutors said Friday.

Sandra Webb was arraigned in Warren’s 37th District Court Wednesday on the charge of committing a moving violation causing death, a misdemeanor punishable by up to one year in prison, Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido announced in a Friday press release.

On Nov. 21, 2025, prosecutors allege Webb was speeding through Warren in her 2025 Chevrolet Trax with her mother, Alice Toss, in the passenger seat.

“It is further alleged that Webb was traveling at speeds exceeding 70 miles per hour when she drove up a curb, crossed a yard and crashed into a residence on Frazho Road in Warren,” the release said. “Webb and Toss were transported to area hospitals where Toss was declared deceased.”

Webb was arraigned Wednesday before 37th District Court Judge Michael Chupa, who set bond at $30,000 cash or surety. If Webb posts bond, she must wear a GPS tether, the judge ruled.

No attorney for Webb was listed in online court documents Friday.

“The loss of a mother is heartbreaking under any circumstances, but this case is especially tragic because the defendant is the victim’s own daughter,” Lucido said in a statement. “While we cannot undo this loss, we will pursue justice based on the facts and evidence in this case.”
