There are now 21 castaways after the latest episode of “Survivor” season 50, which featured another round of building trust — and breaking it.
On Wednesday, March 4, the Cila tribe marched to tribal council for the second time and sent season 49 champion Savannah Louie home. She was tearful yet grateful for the experience.
So far, the Cila tribe appears to be the weakest tribe in the challenges. They won the reward challenge for camp supplies (along with the Kalo tribe), but lost the immunity challenge which led to parting ways with Louie.
The second “Billie Eilish boomerang Idol,” was found in a tree by season 37 player Christian Hubicki.
In addition, this season’s first fake idol was created by season 38’s Rick Devens, known for his idol trickery. At the end of Cila’s tribal council, Devens planted his fake idol near the fire. His ally, Hubicki, fell down to create a diversion — an impressive “Survivor” moment which will perhaps make a later episode interesting.
Here’s more on the “Survivor” season 50 and how to watch next week.
Who was voted off ‘Survivor’ last night?
Season 49 winner Savannah Louie, of the Cila tribe, was voted off “Survivor” 50. Three players were on the chopping block, including: Louie; Joe Hunter; and Ozzy Lusth.
To protect Lusth, Cirie Fields used her savvy social game to shift the target onto Louie. Fields argued Louie was the larger threat because she had an advantage — which was the “secret block-a-vote,” she obtained from exile island.
Hunter was in jeopardy because he is difficult to strategize with and Lusth was in jeopardy because he is a physical threat, but weak with his social game.
In the end, four votes were cast for Louie and one for Lusth.
Was a hidden immunity idol found on ‘Survivor’ last night?
Yes. Hubicki, of the Cila tribe, found a “Billie Eilish boomerang Idol,” and sent it to Aubry Bracco, of the Vatu tribe.
Per Eilish’s idol rules, the idol must be sent to a player on a different tribe, however, if that player gets voted off with it in their possession, it will be returned to the original owner.
This marks the second boomerang Idol found. During the premiere, season 37 player Genevieve Mushaluk sent one to Lusth of the Cila tribe.
