The first day of the 2026-27 school year is quickly approaching. Two Monroe County schools will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Many others will start on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Labor Day is late this year, on Monday, Sept. 7. For the first time since 2020, Monroe Public Schools will begin school before Labor Day.
