Proposals
Ballot proposals are due for the general election by Aug. 11. They will be listed after the primary Aug. 4.
Livingston County Veteran Services Millage
This proposal would renew the levy at 0.1117 mills for six years. If approved, it would raise roughly 1.6 million in the first year. As required by law, a small portion of the millage may be dispersed to the Howell and Fowlerville Downtown Development Authorities.
Howell Township Road Millage
This proposal would renew the millage at 0.8976 mills, rather than the previous 1 mill, for four years starting Jan. 7, 2027, and ending Dec. 31, 2030. The money would be used to improve and maintain roads in Howell Township.
Pinckney Community Library Millage
This proposal would allow the library to collect up to 1.75 mills, a 0.3605-mill increase over the levy that expired in 2026. The new millage rate would apply for eight years, 2027-2034. If approved, the measure would raise about $960,000 in 2027.
