PORT HURON — Here are the results from Friday’s Week 9 high school football games in the Blue Water Area.
Almont 53, Detroit Edison 46
Brody Corneau had 230 rushing yards and five touchdowns for Almont (9-0). Blake Lane followed with two scores on the ground.
Capac 58, Peck 20 (8-Player)
Sam Schneider ran for 250 yards and five touchdowns to lead Capac (7-2).
Peck dropped to 5-4.
Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port Laker 42, Marlette 12
Marlette finished the season at 1-8.
Frankenmuth 42, Armada 14
Armada dropped to 6-3.
Madison Heights Madison 38, Algonac 34
Algonac finished the season at 1-8.
Ogemaw Heights 27, Croswell-Lexington 7
Cros-Lex finished the season at 4-5.
Port Huron 14, L’Anse Creuse 0
Port Huron improved to 6-3.
Port Huron Northern 35, St. Clair 26
Lincoln Watkins ran for two touchdowns to guide Port Huron Northern (7-2). Andrew Hang added two receiving touchdowns.
St. Clair finished the season at 5-4.
Reese 42, Sandusky 21
Jamal Mlynarski went 18-for-29 passing for 290 yards and three touchdowns to lead Sandusky (2-7). Nathaniel Tovar reeled in 10 catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns.
Richmond 21, L’Anse Creuse North 7
Trenten Kulman rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown for Richmond (8-1). Logan Evans had 38 yards and one score on the ground.
Southfield Bradford Academy 20, Cardinal Mooney 3
Cardinal Mooney finished the season at 0-9.
Yale 48, Flint Powers Catholic 21
Yale improved to 5-4.
Imlay City 55, Burton Bentley 0 (Thursday)
Brett Lestage rushed for 144 yards and four touchdowns to lead Imlay City (3-6). Daniel Rojas added 136 yards and one score on the ground. Henry Schmidt finished with 88 rushing yards and two touchdowns while Juan Salcedo ran for a 62-yard score.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Almont’s Brody Corneau was voted the Times Herald’s Prep Football Player of the Week for Week 8. Corneau ran for 133 yards and three touchdowns on four carries in the Raiders’ 43-14 win over North Branch on Oct. 17.
