It’s “State of Rivalry” week here in Michigan, the one where families are split, relationships are tested and the colors of clothes are judged.
Michigan-Michigan State football rivalry week is here, with the game’s 118th edition set for Saturday night in East Lansing at Spartan Stadium.
In a Detroit Free Press and Lansing State Journal collaboration, our two college sports podcasts, “Hail Yes!” and “Spartan Speak” met for a special crossover talk streamed live Thursday at 11 a.m.
Free Press sports writers Tony Garcia and Chris Solari, Lansing State Journal columnist Graham Couch and Free Press assistant sports editor Andrew Birkle answered questions live and broke down all the key storylines and angles surrounding the game, including the mounting heat on MSU coach Jonathan Smith and Michigan freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood’s debut in the rivalry.
The podcast began at 11 a.m. Thursday on Facebook and YouTube. Watch the stream above.
