On Friday night, Michigan State football brought in Western Michigan for a season opening tilt underneath the lights of Spartan Stadium. In the game, it was the Spartans that came out victorious, defeating the Broncos, 23-6.
Despite Michigan State jumping out to a 21-0 lead, Western Michigan continued to fight, and ultimately outscored the MSU the rest of the way, 6-2. Although in a losing effort, it was a commendable effort from WMU, who have put the building blocks down for a successful season.
The effort was capped off by a pick-six from former Spartan Tate Hallock, who noted that he “still bleeds green”, showing his MSU roots.
