GAYLORD ― The Gaylord Herald Times Athlete of the Week poll is back!
Each week, candidates from Gaylord, St. Mary and Johannesburg-Lewiston High School will be nominated for their performances over the past seven days. Come back and vote for who you think had the best performance; winners will be announced on social media on Tuesday.

Week 4 – Joe Jacobson, St. Mary football
Week 5 – Hailey Bober, JoBurg volleyball
Week 6 – Kaven Cole, Gaylord football
Week 7 – Lexi Hogle, JoBurg volleyball
Week 8 – Lily Sargent, Ivy Roberts, Ella Holewinski, Olivia Reiter, Gaylord swim and dive
Week 9 – Lily Crane, JoBurg volleyball
Week 10 – Jaeden Briley, JoBurg volleyball
Logan Greenier, Gaylord St. Mary football
Greenier ran for 123 yards on 16 carries in a playoff loss to Onekama.
Nathan O’Connell, Gaylord St. Mary football
O’Connell completed 14 passes for 153 yards in a playoff loss.
Payton Glasby, St. Mary volleyball
Glasby totaled 15 kills, 19 digs and 3 aces in a district title victory over Northern Michigan Christian Academy.
Laney Perdue, St. Mary volleyball
Perdue had 12 kills, 11 digs, 3 blocks and an ace vs. NMCA in the district finals/
Kaylee Jeffers, St. Mary volleyball
Jeffers had 34 digs, 15 assists and 3 kills vs. NMCA.
Mady Peppin, JoBurg volleyball
Peppin led Joburg with 23 kills and added 14 digs in JL’s district title victory over Inland Lakes.
Jaeden Briley, JoBurg volleyball
Briley totaled 7 kills and 21 digs while her clutch serving run helped JoBurg win the fifth set of a district title matchup with Inland Lakes.
Lexi Hogle, JoBurg volleyball
Hogle entered the MHSAA record books twice last week, logging 45 assists in the win over East Jordan while also eclipsing 2,500 career assists, eventually helping JoBurg win a district title.
Finn Miller, Gaylord football
Miller led the GHS football team with 4.5 tackles in Gaylord’s 42-0 loss to Mount Pleasant in the Division 3 district finals.
