Michigan State basketball head coach Tom Izzo took social media and the college basketball world by storm when he was caught telling Kur Teng that he couldn’t guard Izzo’s mother. Now, those comments have manifested itself into a meme across the nation.
During a press conference after a win against Washington on Thursday, Illinois head coach Brad Underwood went to the Izzo well when talking about Ben Humrichous. Underwood mentioned that Humrichous would not have been able to guard Izzo’s mom.
“He probably would’ve allowed 20 to Tom Izzo’s mom last year… Tom, don’t get pissed and call me, I hear she’s a hell of a player”
